Ordering repeat prescriptions
You can order repeat prescriptions online:
These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.
You can also bring the paper form to the surgery
Allow two working days (48 hours) for the practice to process your repeat prescription.
Allow three working days (72 hours) when the week includes a Bank Holiday. Particularly busy times are both the Easter and Christmas holidays.
Request your repeat prescription in good time for the practice and pharmacy to act on the request.
Sutton Bridge and Long Sutton Dispensing Medications For Patients
Both surgeries dispense medications for patients:
- who live more than one mile from the chemist
- who are on the current dispensing list.
There is a chemist in both Sutton Bridge and Long Sutton.
Dispensing patients can use the same ways to request prescriptions as listed at the start of this page.
The practice dispensaries are open between the hours of 8.30am and 6.00pm from Monday to Friday.
Nominating a pharmacy
You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- At your GP practice
- At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Medication reviews
If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. Please book a routine appointment for your review.

If you have questions about your medicine or your prescription please contact the surgery.
Long Sutton patients can call 01406 362081 and select option 3:
- Dispensing patients: call after 9.00am.
- Non-Dispensing patients: call after 10.30am.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
